St. Patrick’s Day is Ireland’s national holiday and is celebrated the world over from Dublin to Sydney and everywhere in between. A truly unique occasion, 17 March is the day the world turns green and embraces all things Irish.
An occasion when everyone can experience the unique culture, tradition, music, dance, language and pageantry of the Emerald Isle, St. Patrick’s Day is the chance to add some green to your life and celebrate Australia’s strong Irish heritage.
The centrepiece of every St. Patrick’s Day celebration is the traditional Sydney St. Patrick’s Day parade. Now in its 30th year, the parade has become the largest annual Irish event in the Southern Hemisphere. Pre-parade entertainment, music and dancing will commence at 10.30am so get there early to secure your spot at a cultural event like no other – Australia’s biggest celebration of Irishness!
